I like the theme of Jose Garcia Villa's "Footnote to Youth". It's theme is love will triumph, youth will triumph after is life. It means that love will always triumph and after it, you'll realize that you miss your life as a youth and regret  that you choose love. After you regret, the real life will come.

Nick Joaquin

Nick Joaquin is a dramatic writer, especially in his Summer Solstice. The story is all about family. The most exciting part is when Don Paing kiss the feet of Dona Luping.  I think the story can't be true in our real life. Because the attitude of the characters in the story are different in our generation now.
